Who we are
We are a family run business in Devon with over 20 years experience in heat control for conservatories.
The company was started by Ron Newby who over the years has built up many satisfied customers scattered throughout the South West of England and beyond.
Over the past 20 years the company has gone from strength to strength expanding at every step.
The business is still run by Ron but he now has help in the form of 2 of his sons Matt and Alex who wish to keep the same traditional values that made Sun Shield the company it is today.

You might be interested that I have been carrying out a little experiment by keeping temperature readings in the conservatory both before the new roof and after, and I think you will agree that the results speak volumes for your product.
With the old roof the average daytime temperature in the month before was an unbearable average 39.2 C and it peaked on 1 day at a whopping 51.2 C – ouch!!. When the sun was out it was always over 40.
Since the new roof was installed, the average temp has been a pleasant 28.2 C with the highest recorded temp 35.2 C – and that was with all windows and doors closed. When we are using it and have the windows open when sunny the room is fantastic and most importantly it’s useable!!!. Just need to kick the kids and their toys out now!! 06/06/08

Sun Shield uses the highest quality material available on the market and highly skilled fitters to install the products. As a result we confidently guarantee all our products and workmanship for the below stated periods of time:
1) Solar reflective laminates for glass roofs (installed externally) - 5 years
2) Solar reflective laminates for glass roofs (installed internally) - 10 years
3) Solar reflective inserts for polycarbonate roofs - 10 years
4) New roofs - 5 years
Should any issue(s) with our products arise during this period of time then please contact us and we will arrange for an assessment into the problem and if required arrange for the problem to be repaired
