The quality, look, and feel of a glass roofed conservatory is second to none. It gives a clear view out is much quieter in the rain than its polycarbonate equivalent, it has excellent insulation properties, and can even clean itself if you’d like. The only real down side is the price. It is more expensive than polycarbonate but if you can go the extra mile it’s worth it.
Replacing the Panels
Replacing just the glass panels in your conservatory roof (keeping the existing roof frame) is not a service we offer. The glass measurements have to be so precise that we would need to use a templating system which normally works out very expensive. In addition we need to know that the conservatory roof structure is able to support the glass weight and to be able to support it in all weather conditions. For these reasons if we were to replace your conservatory roof with a new glass one we would only do so with a custom made frame from either K2, Ultra Frame, or Quantal.
Bespoke Design Replacement Conservatory Roof
These roofs are built to fit your conservatory precisely by leading roof manufacturers K2, Ultra frame or Quantal. A detailed survey of your conservatory and conservatory roof is conducted and the measurements and angles are passed onto the manufacturer. They process the information in their system and calculate everything from the exact glass measurements, to the strength the bars need to be to support the weight, possible weak points due to the span of the roof, and all this is based on your postcode to check local weather conditi
ons to ensure you roof will perform at its best. The roof and all of its components are then cut to size in their factory and the entire roof is then built on the shop floor. It is then disassembled and sent to us ready to be fit to your conservatory with all of the screw holes etc all pre-drilled as the roof has already been built. Its exact design enables ease of fitting, eliminates the chance of leaks and means that the glass panels can be ordered at the perfect size as they cannot be cut down like polycarbonate. This is the best option for larger more complicated conservatory roofs and of course for glass. The finish of both the bespoke frame and the glass itself is excellent. It results in a dramatic transformation, you will not be disappointed.
